This is a simple rental apartment that was in very, very bad condition and needed to be renovated quickly and affordably by the owners.
Studio Officina selected bright finishes to create a space that would provide a cleanly-designed and light-filled home for a tenant to live in and enjoy.
An existing, concealed fireplace was uncovered. It was left exposed and treated with a matte brick sealant. This element adds a sense of texture and materiality to the living space.
Existing doors were retained and painted grey.
The existing pre-finished wood floor was sanded and left unstained to create a lighter floor finish throughout.
“The apartment has been renovated with an eye for clean fresh design coupled with a thoughtful and practical use of space for real everyday living.”
